ABOUT US

Helping Build Dreams Since 1917

From the days of a one-horse wagon to unmatched service and materials, Harbin Lumber Company is proud to remain a 4th generation, family-owned company.

Our story began in 1917 when two brothers, Frank and John Harbin, had one simple idea to provide building materials for their community. Holding strong through the depression, Harbin Lumber began to expand by building a new location in Royston, Ga. During this time, Frank Harbin Jr. trained with his father and eventually took over the business in 1945. After 37 years, Frank Jr. retired, passing the reins to his son, Barron Harbin. Barron brought Harbin Lumber Company tremendous growth by adding multiple locations and expanding our markets through Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Now under the direction of Barron’s son, Westley Harbin, as President and Chris Moon as CEO, we are again experiencing unmatched growth and continue to support our communities.

Over the years, we’ve grown to include four strategically placed lumber yards throughout Georgia and South Carolina as well as expanded services, including door production, install services and in-house truss manufacturing. In addition, our Reload Facility services all our lumberyards by constantly restocking their material supply and keeping up with high demand.

As we exceed 100 years of business, we are both proud and humbled to recognize that only 3% of businesses make it to the 4th generation of family ownership.
